10,000 attendees to be at Lagos Singles & Married Conference 2017

The President of Family Booster Ministry, Pastor Bisi Adewale has said that at least 10,000 attendees are expected to be at the Lagos Singles and Married  Conference 2017.

Speaking to journalists at a press conference on Thursday, Pastor Bisi Adewale said this will be the fifth (5th) edition of the Conference.

This year’s edition will hold at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos on Sunday, 29th of October 2017 by 2 pm.

Pastor Adewale mentioned that the conference holds once in a year to give an opportunity to people who are unable to attend the monthly program, Breakthrough for Singles and Married that holds every last Sunday of the month to be blessed by the program at least once a year.

Speaking about the purpose of the Conference, Pastor Adewale said: “The focus of this Conference is to talk about Great Marriage.”

He also took time to explain the different kinds of marriage: He said, “We have poor marriage, turbulent marriage, a good marriage and great marriage. We will be opening the eyes of people to the difference between a good and great marriage and how to build a great marriage.”

“The idea behind the conference is to open the eyes of adults, youths and children to family values for the best.”

Speaking on what people should expect at the conference, Pastor Adewale said Evangelist Mike Bamiloye and his wife, Gloria will be ministering. He also said there would be lots of music, group presentations, refreshments, recharge cards, refreshments and free medical check-up for attendees.

He added: “The program is free; it is basically for saving another child, another wife, another husband and another family. This will help to transform Nigeria.”

Responding to questions on why this year’s edition would be different from past editions, Pastor Adewale said the program would help every family to stand to help another family. He mentioned that the introduction of free medicals would make this year different from past editions.

He added that Evangelist Mike Bamiloye and his wife, Gloria were invited to stand as an example of a couple with Great marriage as they have been able to raise wonderful three children that are well brought up and are also doing well in the Drama ministry.

He said that the couple were invited to share their testimony and mentor young couples to also build a great marriage.

When asked about how those that attend the program would be followed up, Pastor Bisi Adewale said: “We have a regular program every last Sunday of the month tagged Breakthrough for singles and married, we also counsel couples.”

He said further, ” We also have star couples club to mentor those who are between age 7 and below in marriage, Super couples club to mentor those who have spent between 7 to 15 years in marriage and Upper couples who have spent 15 years and above in their marriages. We have a marriage school where we train and certify students both married and unmarried on marriage, family life, finance and other aspects.”

Pastor ( Mrs) Yomi Adewale, the wife of Pastor Bisi Adewale who is also a marriage counsellor replied a question about how parents could take care of children appropriately despite work and other distractions.

She said: “When it comes to spending time with the children, the husband and wife should address their peculiarities. The husband and wife should sit down and discuss, there must be agreement, one of them must be ready to make the sacrifice because if they don’t do so, the children will suffer.”

Pastor Bisi Adewale assured that there will be adequate security at the venue; He said both military and paramilitary officers will be around to ensure the safety of attendants.

He added that there will be sanitizers to safeguard people from the monkeypox disease.
