The 16-year-old girl and her former malnourished daughter that were rescued in Cross River State are now in good shape and both enrolled in school.

Director General of CRSPHCDA, Dr Betta Edu, rescued the 16-year-old girl, Esther Etim Effiom and her one year and six months old severely malnourished daughter earlier this year at Ikot Ekpo Axis of Calabar.

The girl got pregnant for one Victor she refused to identify while she was sent to work as a housemaid with a distant relation at Eket.
The mother and child are now back in good shape and have also been enrolled in school.
