This is the continuation of the 17 parenting mistakes no parent must make.
11. Encouraging your child disrespect others: it is improper for any parent to allow their children to disrespect elders. If this attitude is not curbed in a child, the child will eventually grow up to become disrespectful.
12. Dressing your child indecently: when you dress your child indecently, it becomes part of them and it may become difficult to correct that child to dress decently in the future.
13. Not correcting bad manners in your child: when a child is always displaying behaviors that should not be like talking while eating, playing while prayers are going on and other wrong behaviors, it must be corrected or else the child becomes used to it.
14. Allowing your child to disrespect you: not correcting your child immediately he or she starts showing disrespect towards you is dangerous as the child may get used to this and you may not be able to correct it when that child becomes old.
15. Giving your child the permission to have his or her way: there must be a limit to your giving your child permission to have his or her way. If you don’t set this limit, the child gets used to having his or her way and will always demand that as he or she grows up.
16. Settling your child before doing chores: as a parent, it is wrong for you to always bribe your child before doing house chores. When you do this, it will make the child always demand something before doing the chores you ask to be done.
17. Neglecting the spiritual growth of your child: whatever faith you believe in, your child must also be involved. When you don’t involve your child in worshipping and serving God with you, such a child will not grow up spiritually.
All parents must avoid these mistakes so as to bring up their children the proper way. When children that are brought up the right way becomes successful in the future.
