In the first part, we dealt with some important qualities you must develop before marriage. This is a continuation of the article.
10. HOMELINESS
You cannot fully have a great marriage if you are not homely, especially ladies. There is no way you will abandon your home for parties or friends that are not adding anything to you and you expect to enjoy marriage. Be homely, don’t be materialistic and make sure the home is comfortable for everybody to stay.
11. GOOD NEIGHBORLINESS
Do you desire to be married? Then, be a good neighbour in your neighbourhood. If you find it difficult to live at peace with your neighbour as a single, how do you cope in marriage? Learn to manage people you stay together in love.
12. GENEROSITY
Generosity is not about being extravagant but being prudent enough to share even from your little with people in need. Giving is living and so if you don’t just want to exist on the surface of the earth but want to truly live, be generous
13. MONEY MANAGEMENT
Before marriage, you must be a good saver. Don’t use your hard earned money to get things you will not need just because you want to please or impress people. You must manage money effectively, save, invest and use money wisely when need be.
14. PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
You cannot live in isolation as a person so knowing how to manage people is pivotal to your own longevity. Have you checked yourself, how many friends do you have and for how long have you been with them? If you cannot keep good friends for long and even for life then something is fundamentally wrong with your people management skill.
15. SELFLESSNESS
Yu must be a single that cares for other people and not selfish. That is not saying you shouldn’t love yourself but at the same time show concern and care for others. Be ready to work and serve other people.
16. FRIENDLINESS
Just as that’s saying, if you want friends, you must show yourself friendly. You can imagine, just show yourself friendly first then you get quality friends. Friendliness will help you in marriage.
17. CONTENTMENT
Contentment is very important, be content with who you are, what you can do, what you have and people God has blessed you with. You can never have it all in life, so be good with the little you have. This will help you not to compare your marriage with another person’s own when you are married
18. COMMITMENT
Be committed to a cause and people, this will help you to stay committed when you are married. Commitment makes you accountable.
