A 34-year-old bricklayer, Akinyemi Edgar, has been declared wanted by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing his 28-year-old wife, Ajoke who is a graduate.

According to Punch report, a witness claims that the suspect’s wife had earlier informed him that she would be traveling overseas this January and it got the husband upset.
The suspect reportedly beat his wife to death at their residence at Mowo area, Badagry local government area, Lagos State. The man was reported to have beaten his wife until she lost her life.
The suspect allegedly dragged the body of his late wife to a well and buried her there before taking to his heels.
The matter was reported at a nearby police station and the suspect had been declared wanted.
Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti said the matter had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.
