5 Incredible Reasons Parents Choose Birth Date for Babies
Some modern parents are not satisfied anymore for their babies being delivered on the Estimated Date of Delivery (EDD) but now fix dates for the baby’s delivery.
Elective deliveries have now become the order of the day especially in urban areas and why parents do this is based on some reasons that are incredible and some logical.
Here are some of the reasons:
· Doctor’s recommendation: in some cases, when delivering a baby normally can pose danger to the mother, the doctor may choose to carry out a caesarean section to keep the mother and baby safe.
· Birthday Celebration: some parents who find out that the EDD of the baby falls in the month of their birthday, they ask for the doctor’s help to deliver the baby exactly on their birth date just for reasons totally known to them.
· Wedding Anniversary: other parents also choose to bring their baby to the world on the day they are celebrating their wedding anniversary.
· Special dates: some dates seem very special and when some parents notice that their baby’s birth date is close to such beautiful dates like (07-07-07), they may choose to have the baby on that day.
· Festivities: days of festivities like Christmas day, Easter Celebration, Valentine’s day, and so many other days of festivities also make parents shift their baby’s delivery date.
Parents mostly take this decision with the help of doctors when the baby has gotten between 37 and 41 weeks and their choice of dates is within that period.
