5 Reasons you should discipline your child

Train up a child in the way he should go, so that when he grows, he will not depart from it.

Quite some good number of nationals may not agree with the biblical quote above, most especially countries where there are strict laws that control how you discipline your children.

But then the place of correction cannot be overemphasized as it is one good way to bring up a child for a better future. Even though there are certain cautions as to how a child should be disciplined, it is still of great essence that parents learn to always stand in the place of discipline so as not to pamper a child into moral decadence.

Disciplining a child is very important and very beneficial to a child’s responsible existence.

Here are 5 reasons you should discipline your child

  1. Your child carries your name

Do you know that your children in a way portray a part of who you are as the parent? And then if such child is found engaging in an unruly behaviour, it is so easy for the public to refer back to you the parent. Of course, we all know the parents are often the first point of call.

  1. The future might be not certain for an undisciplined child

A child who is left to determine whatever he can do might someday end up in the gallows. Remember, not all criminals were born to embrace crime, crime sets in when parents neglect the place of discipline.

  1. Waywardness

To become wayward is very easy for an undisciplined child. When you fail in your part where disciplining a child is concerned, such child is bound to live to become a wayward one and probably come home someday with one of your greatest dread.

  1. Moral decadence

Discipline is one of the hallmarks of any great personality there is on earth today regardless of the nationality. In building a greater future for your children, you need to instil discipline into their mind and possibly make it a watchword they will work with on a daily basis.

  1. Disrespect

If you fail to give your children basic moral training or discipline like we have been saying, you might bear the burden at the end of the day. Failure to discipline a child often results to such child disrespecting their parent.

Though the fact that a child should be disciplined cannot be overruled, but then, there are reservations as to how to best handle a child that is tending towards misconduct or crime.

Even while you discipline your Children, bodily injury is not meant to be inflicted on them, fair spanking is good but should be done modestly.
