A 64-year-old widow, Mrs Ebun Adesanya has expressed her joy yesterday at Aunt Landa Foundation’s periodic charity program, shouting out loud after she won a grinding machine and an additional sum of 10,000 naira after presenting a voters card as her means of identification.
The woman who said she lost her husband in 2005 was part of those who entered for the raffle draw but got more fortunate after she earned an additional 10,000 naira to her consolation prize, a gift which was quite unusual since the beginning of the program.

According to the convener, Doctor Yolanda David who presented the cash to her, said the aged woman has demonstrated what every true Nigerian should do, even aged ones for that matter.
The raffle draw has witnessed several winners who has claimed their prizes without receiving anything afterwards but her case was made as an example to others to go get their voters card as well.

Several other winners that came before her had called their phone numbers (written on the raffle ticket) to identify themselves, others made do with their ATM cards, but Mrs Adesanya’s case was quite exceptional.

According to one of the rules of claiming prizes, each winner needs to present a proof of identity before he or she can lay claim on any prize to be offered.
Mrs Adesanya,who also is a mother of a set of twins told DAILYFAMILY that she is very happy for getting the additional cash prize she was given.
The cash prize was presented to her by Doctor Yolanda David and Reverend Paul of Christian Pentecostal mission in FESTAC.
