Avocadoes commonly called pear has many other uses apart from eating. The use is not only applicable to the green flesh but also the round seed.

Here are 7 things you never knew you could use Avocado:

1. For delaying ageing process
Avocados are very good for delaying the ageing process. Eating avocados will help slow down the process and even as you age, you do gracefully.

2. For the hair
Though it has many health benefits, it can be used for the prevention of dandruff. Grate the seed, then, mix the avocado seed pieces with castor oil and let it sit for a day. After 24 hours, rub the mixture into your hair and leave it for about an hour before washing it out. You can cover it with a shower cap while you do your work. It will also help give your hair some extra shine!

3. You can make a smoothie
This is one sure way to get the full health benefit of avocado without losing any nutrient. Simply peel the avocado, remove the green flesh and put in the blender with tiger nut or coconut milk, add ginger or clove and add dates fruit to sweeten. Blend everything together, refrigerate, sit back and enjoy.

4. For skin nourishment
Avocados contain a wide variety of vitamins that the body needs to stay healthy. The vitamin C and vitamin E found in the fruit not only help keep your skin healthy and glowing, it can also be helpful in treating skin conditions like psoriasis.

5. To get rid of acne
You can do an avocado face mask using recipes you already have at home. Mash avocado, honey and little warm water. Mix them together and apply the mixture to your face.

6. For weight loss
If you are fat and intend to lose some weight, avocado is your sure bet as it is sugar-free and contains healthy fat and fibres which helps you feel fuller, faster. It has also been shown to have plenty of potassium which makes it a good post-workout snack.
