Food business is a good business, especially in a metropolitan city such as Lagos. In the creation of wealth, setting up one is another good way to generate an income and meet the needs of hungry Lagosians.

My name is Ms. Ademefun Itunnu, a Bachelors degree graduate of Business Administration from Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State.

Can you tell us about this business and its operation?
I grew up to know the business; it belongs to our mother and it has been in operation since the 80s.
What led you to the food business?
Well, like I told you earlier, I am a graduate. But I left my 9 to 5 job since food business pays more. We all know that it is a must that people must eat and it is not everyone that has the time to cook, so they make do with ours.
What class of customers patronizes you?
Different class of people patronise us. Laymen, working-class professionals, churchgoers patronize us as well, especially Christ Embassy members whenever they have a program. Government workers also come to eat here.
What is your opening hours?
We normally open from 5 pm to 5 am except on Fridays when we close by 6:30 am because of club guys.
What has been your thought about food sales in an area such as this?
Well, being a business district, we have some working-class people who often patronise us after closing hours in a bid to avoid the stress of cooking at home. Also, people come with their families too. It is not that they cannot cook at home, but they eat out just to experience the night away from home.
For how much do you sell your food?
You can get quality food at an affordable price here. We do not charge per plate like a lot of eateries usually do. Ours depends on how your pocket weighs. With N200, you can eat quality food; though it might be small, at least, you have food in your tummy.
