It was recently aired on a private television station that the Boko Haram insurgents have been subdued, but then the insurgent fighters on Monday has launched an attack on Bakin Dutse village as they advanced to Gulak, the headquarters of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
However the local vigilance in the community joined the Nigerian army troops to repel the attacks.
Due to the attack, families have fled the town while some went into hiding in the bush, mountains and hills.
Report gathered reveals that both the army and the Boko Haram insurgents lost men to the gun battle.

The Chairman of Madagali LGA , Alhaji Mohammed Yusuf , also confirmed the attack to Channels Television in Yola.
Speaking in confirmation of the attack, the chairman of Madagali LGA, Alhaji Mohammed Yusuf described the attack to Channels Television in Yola as “very heavy and likely to result in the loss of lives . ”

In Yusuf’s word, the latest attack comes barely a day after two male suicide bombers invaded a family in Tsilah village near Madagali and held a woman and her daughter hostage.
Thereafter, they detonated the explosives strapped to their bodies , the woman and her baby died in the process .
When contacted for information regarding the attack, Police Public Relations Officer, Adamawa State Command, SP Othman Abubakar said he would call back with information.
However, Adamawa State Commissioner for Information said the government was monitoring the situation.
This attack comes just 10 days after two female suicide bombers attacked Dar, a village near Gulak.
