APC Lagos primary: Sanwo-Olu replies Ambode
The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was declared unfit to govern the state by governor Akin Ambode, has responded to the scathing allegations made the incumbent leader.
Mr Ambode, who has been in the eye of the storm, stated this while addressing a press conference at Government House, Alausa, Ikeja.
He said the aspirant was arrested for spending fake dollars in the United States and had undergone rehabilitation at Gbagada General Hospital in Lagos.
The governor also appealed to the leadership of the APC in Lagos to act in the interest of the development of Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu, Ambode’s challenger in the primary, had earlier received the endorsement of the party’s Governor’s Advisory Council in the state. He had also been endorsed by 36 of the 40 members of the state House of Assembly.
