The Amadi brothers allegedly took Orindu's life years ago, motivated by deep resentment.
One suspect, a tricycle operator, claimed Orindu had caused their father's death years earlier which has now become a longstanding accusation now under police scrutiny.
They buried him in a shallow grave on their property, allowing time to erode memories while they carried on as brothers in the community that once trusted them.
Whispers grew into outrage when Orindu remained unreachable and unreachable.
Angry youths confronted the siblings, forcing a confession to avoid immediate lynching.
Under pressure, Lucky and Uzoma led them to the spot in the compound where Orindu's skeletal remains lay.
Journalist Okeoma Chidiebube, who visited the scene, reported that the skeletal remains were hung around the suspects’ necks as the angry villagers demanded justice.
Some reports suggest the killing stemmed from a land dispute dating back to around 2010, turning brother against brother in the most irreversible way.
The village mourns not just a lost life but the erosion of trust within the Amadi household.
