Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has stirred mixed reactions on social media after sharing her blunt thoughts on how some parents show affection to their children.

In a series of posts on her Instagram story, the actress voiced her discomfort with the growing habit of parents kissing their children directly on the lips. She questioned why parents no longer stick to kissing their kids on the cheek, describing mouth-to-mouth kisses as unnecessary.
According to Angela, children do not need such close contact, especially when it could expose them to germs. She advised parents to be more mindful, stressing that a simple cheek kiss is enough to show love without risking the child’s health.
She went further to express her frustration, wondering why mouth-to-mouth kissing has become so common, even among family members, and asked if she was simply being old-fashioned for finding it disturbing.
Her comments quickly sparked debate online. While many social media users supported her stance, agreeing that cheek kisses are cleaner and safer for kids, others argued that parents should be free to express affection however they choose.
Angela’s remarks have once again opened up conversations around parenting, hygiene, and the different ways love can be shown without putting children at risk.
