Convicted child killer, Ian Huntley, will not be given a funeral after his family reportedly refused to arrange one following his death in custody.

Huntley, who was serving a life sentence for the 2002 murders of schoolgirls Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, died aged 52 after being attacked in prison.
According to reports, his relatives declined the option of any service, meaning there will be no memorial, no mourners and no formal farewell. Instead, his body is expected to be cremated, with his ashes handled privately.
How Families Cope with Loss in Armed Conflict
The decision is said to have been taken out of respect for the victims’ families, and amid fears that any public burial site could attract unwanted attention or backlash.
A petition opposing taxpayer involvement drew tens of thousands of signatures.
