A 42-year-old woman in Nagpur, has finally been reunited with her family in Bihar, after nearly 15 years of separation, following months of efforts by hospital staff and police to trace her identity.
The woman, whose name was changed to protect her privacy, had been admitted to the Regional Mental Hospital in Nagpur after being found wandering in Wardha district with no clear memory of where she came from.
Over time, doctors and social workers began trying to piece together clues about her background.
Hospital authorities eventually launched a determined search to locate her relatives, working with police and using fragments of information she was able to recall.
After several months of investigation, officials were able to track down her family in Bihar and confirm her identity.
According to officials, the woman disappeared about 15 years ago while pregnant, and she now has no memory of the child she was carrying at the time she went missing.
