Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the Redeemed Christian Church of God general overseer has expressed the current state of his marriage to his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye as a honeymoon phase, despite its 59th annivesary.

Leading the sermon, while speaking to the married congregants, he described his marriage as one in which he would always settle any misunderstanding with his wife before hitting the sheets.
"If you're married, take my counsel. I've been married now since 1967, by the grace of God, I'm still on honeymoon, becuase under no circumstance will I go to bed without settling with my wife. It's a word for the wise."
Speaking to married members of the congregation at the monthly Holy Ghost Congress in May, he charged them to always look at the partners as their prayer partner and not find such outside of their marriage.
"Your partner, your spouse is given to you to be your prayer partner. Before you say you look for a prayer partner elsewhere, start with your husband or with yoour wife. If the two of you are prayer partners, you'd be able to bare your heart to each other. Because the two of you will know That 'if I sink, you sink.'
"There are many prayer partners when you tell them things to pray for, you have exposed yourself to the world. And that being the case, let there be no anger unresolved between the two of you before you go to bed."
He stressed this using Biblical references and his experience as a young married husband, while also stating that looking for a prayer partner other than one's spouse may give room for the world to know unwarranted secrets.
