* Woman faces charges of threatening to kill a mother and her children.
* She allegedly posted their photos on TikTok with a chilling "Rest in Peace" caption.
Abisoye Funmilayo, 26, stood in the dock at a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Akure, Ondo State, on Thursday, confronting grave accusations that have shaken a family to its core.

Charged with intimidation, stalking, threat to life, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, Funmilayo and others still at large allegedly targeted Babalola Bose and her children between January 11 and January 18, 2026.
The incidents reportedly occurred at No. 7 Olusoji Shotiminu, Ojukoro Block Industry, Ikorodu, Lagos State, and extended into Ondo State.
These acts are punishable under Section 19 of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law of Ondo State, 2020, and contrary to Section 516 of the Criminal Code, Cap 37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
The most disturbing allegation centers on Funmilayo, who is accused of posting photographs of Babalola Bose and her children on a TikTok account, accompanied by the inscription “Rest in Peace,” despite knowing they were alive.
Police prosecutor Inspector Akolade Bakare told the court the offence is punishable under Section 18 of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law of Ondo State, 2020.
Bakare requested an adjournment to gather witnesses, emphasizing the need to build a solid case against what appears to be a calculated campaign of fear through digital means.
Presiding Magistrate Odenusi-Fadeyi Otateju, after hearing submissions, granted Funmilayo bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The matter was adjourned to February 12, 2026, for further hearing.
