Andami said five of the abdvcted victims were rescued after soldiers and local hunters engaged the attackers in a gvn b@ttle. The att@ckers retreated into the forest with some of their captives.
Earlier on Tuesday night, the att@ckers struck Sarkin Yamma village, near the Jeb-Jeb area. They kill3d a soldier, a local hunter and a pregnant woman. Another soldier was reportedly sh0t and injured.
Andami said residents had appealed to the government to secure the area before the de@dly attack on Binnari town and the latest incident occurred. He renewed calls to the Taraba State and Federal Governments to pay urgent attention to the area and deploy adequate security personnel.
Karim-Lamido has experienced repeated communal v!olence, ethnic clashes and attacks by @rmed groups this year, resulting in de@ths and d3struction of property.
