‘Atiku’s life is in danger.’ That is the warning from Von Batten-Montague-York, a United States-based policy advisory and lobbying firm, which has alleged a plot to kill Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a post on its verified X handle, the firm accused the Nigerian Presidency of being behind the alleged plot.
‘We find the reports that the Nigerian Presidency and its agents are allegedly plotting to assassinate former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar very troubling. Atiku’s life is in danger,’ it wrote.
The firm said it intends to take the matter further. ‘Dr Von Batten fully intends to bring these latest allegations against Nigerian President Bola Tinubu to the attention of the Trump Administration and Congress,’ it said.
It also warned against a political assassination, saying such an act would cause geopolitical shockwaves and force the United States to act.
The firm then addressed President Tinubu directly.
‘The United States has given President Bola Tinubu enough rope. A word of advice to President Tinubu and company; it will not end well for you,’ the lobby firm tweeted.
