Air: The Muritala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) is located in Lagos it serves as both local and international airport.
Road: As a first-time visitor to Lagos, you can access the state through three major routes, the Lagos-Ibadan expressway and through the Ogun-Lagos route or through the Seme Border which is an international route
Rail: The railway is also available and remains the cheapest means of getting into Lagos.
MOVING AROUND IN LAGOS
One major area any first-time visitor to Lagos may face is how to move around the state.Getting around Lagos after you’ve gotten in can pose a big challenge. From the airport, you can get taxis to get you to your destination, but if you’ve already booked a room/suite in any of the wonderful Hotels in Lagos, a shuttle bus will most likely be provided for you at the airport. If however, you haven’t made Hotel reservations, you can easily charter a taxi to drive you to your destination

HOW TO BE SAFE IN LAGOS
When you are in Lagos, avoid isolated places at the airport/bus park/railway terminal. Avoid touts and criminals who disguise as friends.
Pay attention: keep your wallets in front or side pockets for men and if you’re a woman, carry your handbags in front of you
If you’re going out, leave the original of your passport( if you’re an international visitor) in the hotel/house safe and go out with a copy
Avoid revealing too much information to strangers. Do not give out too much information about yourself
Be bold, do not look timid or someone afraid of something on Lagos streets
Lagos is for smart and intelligent people so avoid any sign of fear or weakness.
Carry only things you can easily manage when going out in the city.
