The breakdown, which happened around 11.00 am on Wednesday, was affirmed by two of the country’s power dispersion organizations in independent messages to their clients.
“We lament to illuminate you that the blackout presently being capable across our establishment – Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara States – is because of the breakdown of the public framework,” Kaduna Electric said on Twitter.
Eko Electricity Distribution Company Plc, in an instant message to its clients, said, “Dear client, there is a fractional framework breakdown on the public network. Our TCN accomplices are attempting to reestablish supply right away. If it’s not too much trouble, hold on for us.”
The framework, which is being overseen by the public authority claimed Transmission Organization of Nigeria, has kept on enduring framework breakdown over the years during an absence of turning save that is intended to prevent such events.
