The Federal Government today has finally come to a decision on its membership with 310 international bodies.
In a Federal Executive council meeting FEC, Nigeria signed out from being a member of 90 international bodies out of 310 so as to be able to meet up with some of its obligations.
According to the Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, the decision was reached at the FEC, meeting on Wednesday after the nation had calculated a total of $70 million spent yearly on being membership of these bodies.

Due to this, the country says it has not been meeting up with its national obligations.
The minister said a committee has been set up to consider the nation’s membership in the organizations as the committee is expected to submit its report within fourteen days.
Adeosun also said that the committee will prioritize the organization the country will remain as members.
