Award-winning Nigerian Author, Novelist, and writer of short stories and fictions, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie clocks the age of 40 today.
The Intellectual was born 40 years ago on the 15th September 1977 in Enugu, Enugu state Nigeria. She hails from Abba, Anambra State.
Adichie had received so many awards both in Nigeria and Internationally. Her novels include Purple hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah.

She spoke about her stand on feminism in an Interview in the year 2014. She said she sees herself as a storyteller but wouldn’t mind if she was referred to as a feminist writer; she revealed that she viewed the world with a feminist view.

She received MacArthur Genius Grant in the year 2008 and has been awarded a lot of honorary degree since then.
She is married to Ivara Esege.
