Where you live is very important, it can affect various aspects of your life. It can affect your income, your exposure and most importantly the state of your health.

A dumpsite is where dirt and waste used by people are dumped. So many people gather their waste and drop at a particular location, that is why such places look so horrible and unhealthy.

Despite the state of these dumpsites, you will still find them in a residential or commercial location where people live.

Dump sites are full of different kinds of dirt which are full of bacteria that are dangerous to the body. Another aspect is the water in this places, if you dig borehole, it affects the water,the water you get will contain iron which is not good for your health especially if the dumpsite has been in place for a long time.

The smoke dumpsite emits when it is been burnt can be very wild. It doesn’t stay on the dumpsite alone but spreads to the whole environment. Those living in this type of environment cannot breathe in a fresh breath because their windows must be locked or else the smoke will fill the whole house.

This smoke is not healthy when inhaled as it can cause a lot of health damages to the body.

The smell from a dumpsite is very bad and people living close to it are always open to this horrible smell. The waste that has been gathered together produces this smell. During the rainy season, the smell becomes much and it pollutes the environment.

Those exposed to this kind of odour regularly are at risk of falling sick. From research, it has been found that diseases that people in this environment are prone to are, fatigue, some types of cancer, low birth rate, birth defects, drowsiness, headaches, renal diseases as well as liver malfunction.

The water in this environment is polluted with iron which is not good for consumption. The people living close to a dumpsite have no other choice but to cook with this water or even drink it.

Those doing business in this environment are not left out. For those in the trade of selling food or consumables, the flies and insects from the dumpsites affect their sales a lot because nobody wants to eat in such a place.

Dumpsites produce smoke that affect climate and is one of the causes of climate change.

The location of a dumpsite to a residential or commercial areas is supposed to be about 200 meters and that is what should be approved by the government in addition to it being fenced.

To secure better health for yourself and your family inspect properly wherever you are purchasing a land or renting an apartment to stay. Remember prevention is better than cure.
