Dino Melaye Jumps off Moving SARS Van, Escapes Detention
Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, has escaped from the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) Custody, Sun reports.
According to the Report, the embattled senator who was arrested earlier today by officials of SARS jumped off a moving vehicle heading to Lokoja and ran straight into a bus along the expressway.
Dino Melaye who was arrested this morning by Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad has reportedly jumped off a moving vehicle en route Kogi and ran into a bush along the expressway.
The Sun reports that the embattled senator was being moved to Lokoja to face criminal charges by the police when he did the unbelievable.
However, Melaye was reportedly given a hot chase by the police officers attached to observe him during the journey.
The senator before the escape was expected to be paraded in Lokoja, later this evening among other suspected criminals who implicated him in the crime that necessitated his arrest.
