Hajia Iyabo Salmot-Mohammed has said that the current economic hardship in the country had rendered several men incapable of meeting their obligations at homes and this has increased the number of divorce in the Country.

Salmot-Mohammed who is The Chairperson of international Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) in Kwara begged The Federal Government to quickly find a lasting solution to the high rate of unemployment and inflation in the country to save many marriages from divorce.

Salmat-Mohammed who is the legal adviser to Ilorin West Local Government said this in Ilorin on Tuesday.She encouraged couples to endeavor to bear with one another to survive the present hardship and reduce divorce in the country.
