Doctor Rapes Patient To A Point of Miscarriage

A medical Doctor, Philemon Brazil, has allegedly raped a patient to the point of miscarriage.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Singbon Hosea told An Upper Area Court sitting at Pankshin in Plateau court that the defendant committed the offence on April 25 at the home of his victim.
Hosea explained that the rape victim had several histories of miscarriages and had been patronizing the Doctor for a long time before the incident.
According to Sgt. Hosea,
“But my lord, on that fateful day, April 25, when he visited the patient, as usual, he went too far by forcing himself on her and ended up raping her.
“My Lord after the rape, the woman suffered yet another miscarriage.”
“By that action, the accused has committed offences of rape and act of gross indecency, contrary to and punishable under Section 283 and 285 of the Penal Code.’’
The prosecutor begged the court to keep the accused in prison, until completion of investigation on the matter.
The Judge obliged by remanding the accused in prison till further hearing.
