A middle age man identified has Wasiu Abimbola Balogun has been alleged of parading himself as a Yoruba king in the diaspora.
He was alleged claiming made himself the King of Dallas in Texas, United State of America and claimed to be installed by a king from Yoruba land.
On phone interview by Dailyfamily.ng, with Erelu Oodua, Tinu Onaneye who lives in Washington, District of Columbia in the United state who also posted the picture of the self-acclaim King with the caption is this way king is installed in Yoruba culture? Eyin Omo Oodua e gbawa o. Kile we?
According her, ” it has come to our notice that some unscrupulous people in the city of Dallas, who have no respect for traditions and culture of our Yoruba race, who are hell-bent in causing disaffection and promoting chaos and every forms of things that can bring our most esteemed culture to degrading state have started again by installing themselves as kings and also want to installing chiefs in Dallas Texas.
“As Erelu Oodua, I want to warn those perpetrating this taboo to henceforth desist from it.”
She further explained that she has informed the Ooni of Ife about the development
“I have in my own capacity inform the Arole Oodua, Iku baba Yeye, His Royal Majesty Oba Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ile -Ife and necessary action will be taken against those concern.”
Erelu Oodua told Dailyfamily.ng that Mr Wasiu Abimbola Balogun came to the United State of America five years ago through his late mother.
