Can we meet you, sir?
My name is Omotola Jaiyeola popularly known as OhunAyo. I came from a clergy family, I am in 4th position out of five children of my family.
I am a native of Ogun state, an Ijebu man to be precised, I have Higher National Diploma in Business Administration from Osun State Polytechnic, Iree in Ogun state.
When did your interest in music starts?
I started having interest and passion for music when I was 8 years old.
Who inspired you musically?
I love every God-fearing good singers with good lyrics.
How would you describe your gospel music?
I am a distinct gospel singer, my music has a blend of African fission and Fuji tune. I don’t joke with my lyrics, it’s God’s new brand, the world can’t ignore it.
What is the name of your band? And what is the origin of the name?
It was formerly Divine Gift Singers (Digis), backed with a biblical confirmation in James 1:17, but now renamed as Made in Heaven Music.(M.H.M) The same Bible verse covers it.
Gospel music is a bit overcrowded, how do you intend to set yours apart?
Uniqueness is hard currency, God made us all, but differently, what he has deposited in me is more than enough to make my domain.
Why gospel music and not R&B or soul music?
R&B and Soul music are just parts of genre of music, gospel is a content. I will say my background had an influence on it and I enjoy it.
Can you describe yourself in three to four words?
I LIVE BY GOD.
Can you share your love life with us?
I am married to a beautiful, hardworking and lovely wife.
Where did you meet your wife?
We met in School.
Tell us about your wife and children?
They are lovely, God fearing and understanding. My wife is Adeola Jaiyeola and we are blessed with two kings..Obaloluwa and Oluwajoba.
How do you plan your schedule in order to create time for your family?
God has been helping. I also enjoy the love and support from home and family members, it’s been wonderful, we always have good time together.
Some people said female gospel singers also face sexual harassment, what is your opinion and your advice to female singers?
Harassed Sexually!
That’s unfortunate. Well, I think it’s personal. Yet, I advise they guide their heart with all diligence to the word of God, it’s a strength to overcome temptations and external forces.
What do you have for your fans in this new year?
I dropped GBERA single last month, which has been widely accepted as a gift for the generation. They should expect the video soonest and more.

How do you combine career and parenting?
They are two different things but can be merged.
Discuss your career at home, make them understand your visions and include your family in your career.
Simply, family is also a career.
What is your advice to upcoming gospel musicians?
They should keep coming up, that’s their destination. They should plan, prepare, pray and creatively work harder, the sky is big enough to accommodate them all.
What is your advice to people out there?
Irrespective of your legal endeavors, put your heart to it, give it time and be the king there.
