Fayose demands increment of corps members ‘Allawi’ from FG
The governor of Ekiti state, Mr Ayodele Fayose has the federal government to increase the monthly allowance to corps members from #19, 000 to #50, 000.
The governor who disclosed this in Ise Ekiti at the closing ceremony of the orientation course of the 2017 batch “A” stream2.
Governor Ayodele Fayose was represented by his Commissioner for Information, Youths and Sports, Mr Lanre Ogunsuyi, Governor Fayose said:
“the state government will provide all the necessary support for the Corps members to make their service year memorable in the state”.
In her remark the NYSC State Coordinator, Barrister Ukagha Nwanor Eze charged the corps members to see themselves as leaders of tomorrow.
“I want to charge all Corps members to always see themselves as leaders of tomorrow and stay away from corruption during and after the service year.”
On the security of Corp members, the Permanent Secretary State Ministry of Information, Kola Ajumobi assured corps members deployed to the state of safety in their national assignment.
“Ekiti State is the most peaceful state in Nigeria, Corps members can tour the 16 local governments of the state any time they like, they are very safe,” he said.
