A Police woman has warned that female children are not safe in male relatives or friends company. she warned parents not to be careless to leave girl child with male relatives.
Precious Simango who is a Zimbabwean senior police officer warns that the worst may occur if female children are left in male companies.
Officer Simango, who is based in Bulawayo, said there is a high risk that the child might be abused sexually by the male relative.
“We want to reiterate that every male is a potential rapist and as such we want to warn the public not to leave the girl child under the guardianship of male relatives.”
She went further:
“We also want to urge the youths not to indulge in activities that may endanger their lives.”
Research by dailyfamily.ng shows most female who have been sexually abused were victims of their trusted male relatives and friends.
