Dailfamily.ng was at the interactive session organised by the premier bank to commemorate the product’s one year anniversary held at Harbour Point, Wilmot Point close in Victoria Island, Lagos on the 5th of December, 2017.

In attendance at the session was the keynote speaker, the Chairman of First Bank Nigeria, Mrs Ibukun Awosika, the Deputy Managing Director of First Bank Nigeria, Mr Gbenga Shobo and other top officers.
The event featured talks on branding, asset management, investments, real estate and the various ways through which women could be empowered.

Mrs Ibukun Awosika in her speech charged women to make use of their potentials because of the inability of one person to sustain a family due to the present state of the Nigerian economy.

She also mentioned that to achieve the goals of the family, both husband and wife must have their own parts to play.
Speaking about the achievements of FirstGem in the last one year, Mrs Awosika mentioned that the accounts opened with FirstGem had gathered about 1 Billion Naira which came from monthly contributions and commitment of the women.
She charged women to set financial goals and what they desire to achieve in 2018.
