A family of three, comprising of father, mother and child have been killed by assailants suspected to be the dreaded badoo group in a fresh attack very early on Thursday in Ibeshe area of Ikorodu, Lagos.
Information gathered reveals that the killers struck when the Aro family were all aslept.
In this recent attack, the assailants have also injured a man who was said to have visited the affected family for Christmas celebration.
The visitor, whose identity is yet to be known, was said to be receiving treatment at a hospital.
The two attacks had taken place just after a week after Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, disclosed that the introduction of community policing, especially Onya bo, and the increase in Police visibility had resulted in 35 percent decline in crime within the state.
According to Vanguard’s report, the remains of the Ikorodu victims has been evacuated by the Police and emergency officials.
Residents who were privy to the situation said the body of the victim was dumped at a junction by the cult group.
A resident, Mrs. Adebisi Olapeju, told Vanguard that the cultists fired sporadically during the attack.
