A boy suffering from Cerebral Palsy and not more than six or seven-year-old has been saved by some good Samaritans, Ijegun residents and NGOs after men of the emergency service in Lagos allegedly refused to attend to him.
According to reports gathered from an online user who was at the site of the happening, men of the emergency service allegedly refused to attend to him after patrolling twice on Wednesday evening.
According to the online user simply identified as Akindotun, he said he got a call around 4pm from one Mrs Ndukwu Precious (of Child Protection Network).
On arrival at the place he met another good Samaritan Miss Yetunde Macaulay (Dream Connect Foundation) and a lady simply called Alhaja from FSU Ikotun police station.
He said: “The four of us helped in bathing and clothing him. Thereafter, we drove to the Ikotun Police Station for an entry report and to Igando General Hospital where he was handed over to a social health worker. This was at 7.45pm”.
“However, As at the time we were about leaving, the doctors at the hospital were making plans to refer him to another hospital because of insufficient bed space”.
“We promised to check on him tomorrow, while they promised to help with treatment at least for now”.
“Please anyone who can reach the Lagos State ministries responsible should please help to call those that matters so that this young boy won’t be abandoned. The initial diagnosis is that he has cerebral palsy”.
However, in a previous report, the boy was said to have been seen earlier, Wednesday morning at a Redeem church (RCCG YOUTH CHURCH) at car wash bus stop along Ijegun road.
The user further appreciated the two women who showed up at the situation praying that God would bless them mightily and answer them each time they called.
