Creative Gospel and musical group, House of Excel today celebrates her fifth year in ministry with the launch of their new album in Mushin area of Lagos.
The ministry which was formed from selections from different Christian denominations and founded by Samuel Dare Okunade celebrated with an exquisite array of instrumentalist, an unforgettable afternoon of worship.
In an exclusive chat with DAILYFAMILY, the convener, Samuel Okunade noted that. The event is all about the celebration of House of Excel’s 5th year anniversary and likewise the launch of their album.
Speaking about the album, Okunade noted that the album comprises of Gospel selections. That is, selections from different gospel ministers, mostly those who were raised from House of Excel ministries.
“So we have them together and we call it gospel collection”.
In the same vein the founder said he is appreciating God for the journey so far in ministry adding that he is releasing an album this year and the title of the album is Hossana.
“The last one is the video of some previous tracks we have done so far. We had the shooting this year and we are also launching it today”.
Explaining what the group is projecting to the world, the Okunade noted;
“What we are projecting to the Christian world is for people to still remember the preaching of the cross and also to remember that there is no other foundation we must lay down except the foundation of Christ.
“So what ever you are singing, writing, acting, must be written in the bible and actually preach the salvation and redemption of Christ to people in the world.
Also speaking about the anniversary and launch, a member of the group, Leron James noted that the group is actually not doing anything new, but in the real sense of it, reaffirming the truth in Christ.
“For me it is all about proclaiming Christ. We don’t want to be among the band wagon.
“Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying all other ministeries are not getting it right but we want to be a ‘reckoning of impactation in the life of everyone that come in contact with us today and in the nearest future.
Explaining how the ministry has been making impact, James noted that the group started few but now has grown in numbers.
He further added that this 5th year anniversary wasn’t organized; “because we feel like but it is to proclaim the word of God in our lives in accordance with the word of God.

“We don’t go to churches and do ministrations that has been done before but we do songs that has not been done before, because we want to speak a different message to people, message that they have not listen to, message that they have not really come across.
Also confirming the good works of the group and especially his children, the pastor of the host assembly, who also is the father of the founder of House of Excel, Pastor Amos Okunade Alao noted that if all Nigerian youth can imbibe a godly attitude like his spiritual children have done, Nigeria as a country will change for good.
