How To Be Sure He Is The Right Guy For You

by O. S David

“Give not that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you”. Matthew 7:6

Is he the right man for you? Please don’t beg your destiny on an angry, wicked, difficult, stubborn, unyielding, unbending, lazy, and unrighteous man.

Assess the character of that man very well. Is he easy to pacify? Does he keep malice with his mother? Is he is fond of beating his 26years-old-sister? at the slightest provocation? Can he control his temper? Does he apologies once you discover his fundamental character flaws, please reconsider your decision about getting marry to him.

Unforgiveness
Unfaithfulness
Indolent and insolent
Visionless

If you discover any of these in him, you need to pray very well and make the right decision. Don’t hope that he will change, what if he doesn’t? A leopard cannot change its skin, similarly most people don’t change for better in marriage; many grow worse.

Never give your precious life to dogs, don’t throw your precious destiny to swines that will not value it and would even rise up to attack and destroy you. You are too precious for vagabonds, you are too good for a foolish and wicked man. Evaluate his character, be very sure you are marry a loving, caring, faithful, meek, industrious, godly, diligent, generous and God fearing man. That was the mistake of Abigail in the Bible. She was a loving woman who the Bible described as:

“Now the name of the man, was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail; and she was a woman of good understanding and of a beauty countenance: but the man was churlish (wicked) and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb”. 1 Samuel 25:3

It always surprise me how a loving and wonderful lady like Abigail found Nabal; a drunkard. It must have been a mistake she regretted all her life.

Please don’t make the mistake of Abigail, check character, don’t look at his wealth, let the Lord lead you.
