Beans and Corn Porridge

Beans and Corn popularly called Adalu in South-West, Nigeria, is a delicious and also nutritious dish that can fill you up for a whole day.

Ingredients for Preparing Beans and Corn Porridge:

· Beans (depends on the number of plates to be served)

· Fresh Corn (the amount that complements the beans)

· Pepper to taste

· Onions

· Salt to taste

· Ground Crayfish

· Red Palm oil

· Seasoning (Optional)

Procedure:

. Pick beans thoroughly

· Remove the corn from the cob

· Wash and keep separate.

Cooking procedure:

· Put a clean pot on heat and add enough water

· Rinse the beans well and add to the boiling water

· Add the washed fresh corn afterwards

· Add sliced onions

· Allow it to cook for about 45 minutes until both beans and corn are very soft.

· Add the ground crayfish, pepper, ground onions, salt, seasoning (optional), add palm oil finally and allow to cook for 10 minutes.

Your Beans and Corn porridge is ready to be served.
