My Husband Left Me over Damaged Left Eye, Beggar recounts her ordeal
A woman who was a victim of a fire incident that changed the course of her life shared her sad story with dailyfamily.ng.

According to her, she lost her left eye to a fire incident. And the incident has left her left eyes permanently damaged. As a result of that, her husband abandoned her, so, she opted to the streets to beg for a living.
She expressed her predicament with dailyfamily.ng in an exclusive interview with our correspondent.

What is your name?
My name is Latifat Jimoh
What led to this injury?
It was a fire incident, my eyes turned me and I fell into fire (Firewood burning)
When did it happen?
Ten Years ago
Were you married then?
I just gave birth to my baby when it happened
How have you been surviving ever since?
I have been begging since then
What about the baby you had?
The baby died, I was still admitted to the General Hospital when the baby died. I was told after I returned back home.
What about your husband?
I can’t find him, he ran away
How long were you admitted to the hospital?
Three months.
