‘I wasn’t allowed to see you for two days’- Woman shares inspiring story of son

Are you thinking of giving up on that situation? Maybe you should wait and this inspiring story.

Below is touching a story of the power of hope and faith as share on Facebook.

In November 2012, you were diagnosed with epilepsy. In May of 2013, I took you to the ER in Tupelo because you were running a fever and breaking out in rashes all over your body. The doctors said your kidneys were failing, your blood pressure was bottoming out and they couldn’t get your fever down and there wasn’t anything they could do.

They told me to call all the family in to say their goodbyes. They said you needed to go to Batson Speciality Clinic in Jackson, but they didn’t have the proper equipment to transport you, so we had to wait on Batson to come get you! Once we arrived at the hospital, you were immediately taken to ICU….I wasn’t allowed to see you for two days, because they said you weren’t stable! I was scared because I didn’t know what to expect and all I knew to do was pray! When I finally saw you, my heart dropped because you were swollen to the point where your eyes were closed shut…tubes and lines where everywhere….you begged me to ask them to unhook you; but God said NOT YET!! Two weeks later, you were much better and was able to come home; but still your battle with epilepsy continued.

There were many nights you begged me to stop calling the ambulance and just let you die; but I couldn’t find it in my heart to do that…yes, I fought back tears just to be strong for you; because as a single parent, you do what you gotta do, so I had to hold it together!! We were told you would have to have brain surgery to control your epilepsy; but Batson didn’t have the updated equipment needed to get to the part of your brain that was causing the seizures; it was then you were transferred to Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham. The doctors gave you your options: brain surgery or continued medication regimen with the hopes of finding the right combinations.

I taught you to pray and to trust God in all you do; even though you were only 15, I allowed you to make your own decision and you chose the surgery despite of them telling you you wouldn’t be able to walk, take care of yourself and etc. Your first brain surgery took place on March 5, 2015 followed by a second brain surgery on March 10, 2015….and only TWO WEEKS; you beat the odds and WALKED!! September 2016, you WALKED across OHS football field representing your junior class as their homecoming maid! Look at God!!! But that’s not all….February 24, 2017, you were in a terrible car accident and was ejected from the car…you suffered a broken back, chipped bone in your neck and again…you couldn’t WALK….BUT GOD!! Tonight you will WALK across the stage and receive your high school diploma with the same class you started with!! I wrote this long status so you could see how God has been keeping you and I want you to be grateful for all that He’s brought you through!! God has a purpose for you and I pray you will seek His will!! Congratulations Tak….I’m so proud of you!!
