Following the arrest of Evans’ brother-in-law, Mr. Okwuchukwu Obiechina, who was arrested in connection with the sales of some truck under the siege of the Nigerian Police, Justice Mohammed Idris has declared his arrest and detention by the police, invalid.

Justice Mohammed Idris asked the police to release Evans’ brother-in-law unconditionally and awarded him N2m damages.

Meanwhile, Suspected kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, faces the second arraignment at an Igbosere High Court on Lagos Island amid watertight security.
