Kenya man fakes arrest of fiancée for marriage proposal

A 35-year-old Kenyan school teacher, Nyakundi has perfectly tricked his fiancée in a bid to propose to her after he framed her arrest on allegation that she possessed narcotics.

Nyakundi had perfected the trick in such a way that his fiancee, Elizabeth Mwikali should be ‘arrested’ by anti-narcotics detectives upon being flagged down by the traffic cop and asked to park around Eka Hotel.

Nyakundi’s plan was brought to realization by his friend, an outrider traffic police, who despite knowing that there is usually heavy traffic along Mlolongo road on Friday evening, helped out with the plans.

To make the plan so real, Nyakundi further decided to switch off his mobile phone as Mwikali made distress calls to reach him upon being told by the phony detectives that her lover was also wanted being a hardcore drug dealer.

Shortly, Nyakundi came out from where he was hiding and went down on his knees to propose as friends and passengers in the traffic cheered the tearful Mwikali, others zoomed off knowing that the hardcore drug dealer had been finally nabbed.

Narrating why he played the prank and how it all went, Nyakudi said:

 

“I decided to use this kind of prank because she has been cautioning me never to engage in dirty deals or even anything close to drug abuse, she is the love of my life and I’m happy that she has accepted my proposal, had she turned down because of the prank, I would have cried throughout the night.”

Mwikali likewise responded:

“I was so scared but it hit that if he was really as the two guys posing as detectives were pushing it, we would have sat down and solved the problem because of our love”

To make the proposal grand, close friends to the lovebirds likewise  served the duo costly wine before they all moved the party to a nearby Hotel, Panari hotel along Mombasa road.
