Kogi Gov.’s Convoy in Auto Clash, rams Motorcycle (Photo+Details)

The convoy of the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, including his backup car, was on Monday involved in an accident in Abuja.

Reports gathered reveal  that the governor’s car was already ahead to catch up with an appointment with President Muhammadu Buhari slated for 11am after maneuvering its way out of a gridlock on Jamata Bridge, along the Abuja-Lokoja Expressway.

It was learnt that the accident occurred along the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Road, Abuja when a motorcycle rammed into the convoy as a result of which five cars in the convoy collided with one another.

It was learnt that the motorcyclist and two drivers in the convoy sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness’ account disclosed that the drivers and the injured motorcycle rider were immediately taken to the hospital for medical attention.

However, the governor’s Director General, Media and Strategy, Kingsley Fanwo, denied that the governor’s convoy was involved in an accident, stressing that There was no accident involving the governor.
