Ojo Taiwo

The N-power beneficiaries on Wednesday in state capital Ilorin lead a protest march to the media correspondents office for unpaid salary of five months

The protesters, along Murtala Muhammed ways, were seen carrying placards with various inscription alleging nonpayment of their five months salary.

According to them they have been going through untold hardship over the verification of names, account number and BVN numbers
.
Suliamon Olatunji the spoke person for the group, said “those affected by the development had taken to manual correction of alleged anomalies in their registration about four times, without any positive development.

He added some did physical verification at the Governor’s Office, yet there was no improvement. We sent our phone numbers, other times we went to the local government visit where the verification was done to confirm, and we were told there was no issue on the registrations.”

Similarly, Elder Ayobolu Samuel, the State Spokesperson for the program said there was no significant reason for the protest, considering the fact that the affected beneficiaries were aware of the reason why they are not yet paid, all they need to do is go to the right quarters to verify the anomaly.
