Following the declaration of the Federal Government of Nigeria that Monday the 26th of June and Tuesday, 27th June 2017 will be Public holidays for workers in celebration of Eid-el- Fitr, Lagos roads becomes free of the usual traffic.

Today looks different from the usual rush experienced usually on Monday mornings as there are not enough buses on the roads to convey people to their various destinations. Buses are unusually empty today as most of the civil servants and some private organisations observe the holiday.

One thing to take note of however is that most vehicles on the road are mostly over-speeding because the roads are free which if not properly checked can lead to a lot of road accidents.

The usual hustling and bustling in Lagos will resume on Wednesday 28th June 2017 as all workers resume back to work fully.
