Following the recent development that the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu is missing, his team of lawyers led by Mr Ifeanyi Ejiofor had filed a suit on Wednesday demanding that court orders Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai, to produce Kanu in court.
This most recent development was made known on Wednesday in a text message received by Punch from Ejiofor.
The report gathered revealed that the suit had been filed in a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja demanding that the court order the chief of army staff to produce missing Kanu.

The text message reads;
“We just filed an application for prerogative order of habeas corpus commanding the Chief of Army Staff to produce Nnamdi Kanu in court,”
A draft copy of the motion filed by Ejiofor filed on Wednesday stated that the Chief of Army Staff was in the best position to produce Kanu in court.

Kanu was reportedly seen last after soldiers, on September 14, invaded the IPOB leaders house in Afara-ukwu Ibeku, Umuahia Abia State,
“On a murderous raid, where life and mortar bullets were fired on the unarmed and defenceless populace, leaving 28 persons dead and abducting many”.
