Man, 80, with 12 wives unknowingly proposed to his daughter

Togbui Asilenu, 80-year-old farmer has lost count of his own children due to the size of his family. He proposed to his own daughter Togbui Kofi Asilenu in a street without recognizing her.
The farmer is traditionally married to 12 women and has for the past 40 years given birth to over 100 children. Despite the size of his family, his wives and children are living happily together.
On this year’s occasion of Father’s day on Sunday the 18th of June, all his wives and children marched to his house to wish him happy Father’s day to appreciate his role in the family as a father. One of the farmer’s wife said the secret to the success of their polygamous home is their respect for each other.
Asilenu said: “If I get a lady today, I will marry her and have more children. As for men, even in old age, we can still father children. I’m not impotent.” He said he has lost count of the number of his children as he can’t recall all their names.
His first wife, Nayome Asilenu disclosed how she was not happy about her husband’s desire to marry other women but she said he did not listen to her. One of his sons spoke about how his father met one of his sisters and proposed to her. He said when the lady told him she was his daughter; he said jokingly that his eyes were worrying him.
His wives and children support him in the cassava processing business. His eldest child is 40 years of age and the youngest one is just a year old. According to his children, he has been a responsible father to the family.
