Man Celebrates 100th Birthday In Prison (See Photos)
Pa Celestine Egbunuche has been named the oldest inmate in Nigeria as he has clocked 100 years in Enugu Maximum prison on the 4th August 2018.
The 100-year-old from Akokwa, Imo State was sentenced to death along with his Son and another relative over the death of an individual during a land brawl.
The three people have allegedly spent 17 years in prison.
The NGO that took over their case, Global Society for Anti-corruption (GSAC) made it known to the Government to release the old man as he has been suffering diabetes over the years.
GSAC has appealed to the Federal government and to the Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha to release Egbunuche, his son and his 78-year-old relative.
