Man goes unconscious after Police attack protesters in Abuja

A man identified as Theophilus Abu Agada went unconscious during the attack of the police on protesters #ResumeOrResign. He was rushed to the Head of Service clinic, Federal Secretariat, Abuja.

Officers of the Nigeria Police Force were reported to have shot tear gas canisters at the protesters. This led to the unconscious state of this protester.

A man named Jude who shared the story online said: “I just left Theophilus Abu Agada who is currently lying brutalized at Head of Service clinic, Federal Secretariat.

He was rushed to the clinic unconscious after series of tear gas canisters were shot at the #ResumeOrResign protesters at point-blank range by men and officers of Nigeria Police Force”.

He added that there was no power supply at the clinic which is owned by the Federal Government.

The health facility is located inside the federal secretariat. According to him, they had to provide light with their phones.

Those who rescued the unconscious protester commended the medical staff who immediately assisted them in reviving the man despite the state of the clinic.

The man hospitalized is said to be recovering fast.
