A man, Kennedy Omokaro who uprooted his boss’s cassava to buy foodstuff for himself and later charged to court has been bailed eventually on Tuesday, 7th 2017 after a human rights activist perfected his bail condition.

Omokaro was arrested and charged to court for uprooting his master’s cassava which he later sold for N3,000 to buy foodstuff due to a two months salary his boss is owing him.

According to the human rights activist, Comrade Kola Edokpayi who perfected his bail, the young man had spent three months in Benin Prison before his sister who was frustrated brought the matter to his notice last weekend through a friend and he swung into action and got the arrested man out of prison within 72 hours.

Speaking after Omokaro’s release from prison, Edokpayi said; “I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work”.
